Centennial Celebration
Schedule of Activities:

The events kick off this weekend with a cake cutting ceremony Saturday at 1 p.m. in the main parking lot in town with Mayor Danny Barr and Raleigh County Circuit Clerk Paul Flannigan.
Other events are:
June 4-9: Police, Fire Department, Ambulance and Emergency Responders Festival
June 16: D.D. Williams from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sophia Manifestation Under the Stars
June 18-22: Gospel Night at 6 p.m. each night
June 23: Poker Run starting at 9 a.m. with cash prizes and gift cards from Bub's, United
Cycle, A TV Parts Plus and Pro Tint
June 30: Blue Grass Band at 1 p.m. and Dedication of the Old Veterans Monument
July 13-14: Culture, History and Church Tours from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
July 21: "Community Ball," Reception, Bingo Hall, "Taste of Pot Luck" where the town will
participate in catering. If your last name is from A-H, bring salad. From I-P, bring veggies or pasta. From Q-Z, bring desserts. The town will provide chicken and ham.
July 27:The Blue Hawk Party, 3 p.m. Vendor Expo and 6 to 9 p.m. Doo Wop Band and Dance
July 28: Boy Scout Jamboree
